The term '''homosexual act''' can be applied to any romantic or erotic interaction between persons of the same sex. Attitudes towards such acts vary from culture to culture, and from individual to individual. Although some claim that such acts are forbidden by religious texts such as the [[Bible]] and the [[Qur'an]], references to and records of sexual relations between persons of the same sex exist for almost every human civilisation throughout history.

Liberals claim that references to and records of sexual relations between persons of the same sex exist for almost every human civilization throughout history somehow make the act acceptable.

 

However, such acts are forbidden by religious texts such as the [[Bible]] and the [[Qur'an]].  A subjective cultural ''imprimatur'' of acceptability does not save the objective immorality of the act.
