Ed Clark was the Libertarian Party candidate for President of the United States in 1980. He won 921,128 popular votes or 1.1% of the national vote, which is still the Libertarian Party's best showing in the popular vote in a Presidential election. (Their best showing in the electoral vote was in 1972 when a Nixon elector from Virginia cast his vote instead for the Libertarian candidate.)

Clark's support was strongest in some western states:
