Dr. Walt Brown is the Director of the Center for Scientific Creation and works full time in research, writing, and speaking on origins.[1] Dr. Brown obtained his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he was a National Science Foundation fellow.[2]
For much of his life, Dr. Brown was an evolutionist but later became convinced of the validity of young earth creationism and the reality of the Great Flood.
Dr. Brown is the subject of a chapter of Christian Men of Science: Eleven Men Who Changed the World by George Mulfinger and Julia Mulfinger Orozco.[3]
Glenn Morton, an Old Earth Creationist who holds a BS in engineering from the University of Oklahoma demonstrated using differential equations that, according to Brown's conceptions of the events leading to the Great Flood, the Earth would have had to be perfectly smooth, directly contradicting biblical references to mountains.[4]
