The '''Palace of Versailles''' is the huge palace build for [[French]] King [[Louis XIV ]] south of [[Paris]] located in [[Versailles]]. The palace symbolized the preeminence of French power and architecture in [[Europe]] and the triumph of royal authority over the French nobility. The architects were Andre Le Notre, Louis Le Vau, Jules Hardouin-Mansart, Charles Le Brun, Robert de Cotte, and Ange-Janques Bagriel.
