The Basque Country (Basque: Euskadi; Spanish: País Vasco) is an autonomous region in northern Spain, containing the regions Álava, Vizcaya, and Guipúzcoa. Basque Nationalists also sometimes use this term to refer to a wider Basque region, comprising part of south-western Franceand the Spanish region of Navara.
