-I think the best way to handle disputes and choose a logo is for me to step aside and allow a panel of the students who helped found this site decide these matters.  None of these individuals are related to me and I have disagreed with some of them in the past.  They don't have any ax to grind.  They deserve a key role in deciding direction here.

As editors, SYSOPS, and Bureaucrats, they are awesome. Since we want to draw more people in (this ''is'' meant to be a truthful, accurate encyclopedia), this is not a good thing to be doing (that is, destroying credibility in the eyes of non-Conservapedias).
