Further examples include these individuals not following certain verses within the Bible. Various examples within the book of Leviticus include Leviticus 11:10-12, which forbids one from eating shellfish and shrimp, Leviticus 19:19, which forbids one from wearing clothing made of more than one kind of material, as well as Leviticus 23:3, which says that one shall not work on the Sabbath. It is unlikely that many "Cafeteria Catholics" follow any of these examples: many eat shellfish and shrimp, wear clothing made of mixed materials, and either work or patronize businesses open on the Sabbath.
