Template:Stub The National Health Service is a free, national healthcare service in the United Kingdom. This ensures that everyone is able to be treated, no matter their individual wealth or means. The NHS is funded by the government out of general taxation.
The acronym NHS also refers to the National Honor Society, a national organization in the United States which recognizes academically strong high school students.
