The Chronicles of Narnia are a series of seven books written by [[C.S. Lewis]].

The Chronicles of Narnia are a series of seven books written by [[C.S. Lewis]]. These books were written as a mythological retelling of the Bible.  The [[Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe]] was written based on the Gospels, [[The Magician's Nephew]] is a telling of Genesis, and [[The Last Battle]] as a telling of Revelations.

This book is the first published of the seven Chronicles of Narnia(1950), written by Clive Sinclair Lewis, a noted English Christian writer.  It introduces prominent characters to the series such as Aslan, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy.  Four children (Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy) enter Narnia and with the help of Aslan, talking beasts, and other mythical creatures overthrow the evil White Witch.  It is no easy task and Aslan even puts his life on the line to save Edmund from the justice of the Witch.  In the end the four children are crowned Kings and Queens and eventually return to our World (namely England during World War II.)<ref> The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S.
