Bob Hope (b. May 29, 1903; d. July 27, 2003) was an American entertainer. He worked in film, television, on Broadway and as a comedian, dominating show business in the twentieth century. Hope was also an American patriot: he toured with the USO hundreds of times, entertaining the troops, boosting their morale and saluting their efforts. Bob Hope was born Leslie Townes Hope in Eltham, England, the fifth of seven brothers. The family emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1908. [1]
