Jerry Moran, born May 29, 1954 (age 72), is a Republican who represents Kansas in the House of Representatives. He represents the 1st District, which consists of over half of the state geographicially, and all of the western portion of the state. Moran makes a point to conduct one "town hall meeting" per year in all 69 counties that make up part of his district.[1] Moran lives in Hays, where he was a professor in political science (at Fort Hays State University). He is strongly pro-life [2].

Moran is running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 2010 to replace Sam Brownback.
