Therefore the mind doesn't have (complete) control of the brain. And the brain can just as easily do something other than what you want it to do. It's a much more complex interaction than "one controls the other;" they both greatly influence each other. Rather than thinking of ourselves as humans with souls, we could think of ourselves as souls/selves/minds with bodies.
