Marcus Borg is a liberal Christian Biblical scholar. He has a degree at Oxford, and is currently a Professor of Religion and Culture at Oregon State University. He is a member of the controversial Jesus Seminar.[1]
He grew up in a conservative Lutheran family of Swedish and Norwegian descent. In his teens he started to doubt the truth of Christianity, and as an adult he became a liberal christian.[2]
