The SUVAT equations are equations of motion which apply to uniformly accelerated linear motion, where <math>v</math> is velocity, <math>u</math> is initial velocity, <math>s</math> is speed and <math>a</math> is constant acceleration.

  • <math>v = u + at</math>
  • <math>s =1/2 (u+v)t</math>
  • <math>s= ut + 1/2 at^2</math>
  • <math>s= vt - 1/2 at^2</math>
  • <math>v^2= u^2 + 2as</math>
