:: I haven't had a chance to great yet, but just want to comment about the humor in the gospels. It is something that is frequently overlooked because the humor can sometimes be difficult to understand in the modern context. There is even an [http://www.amazon.com/Humor-Christ-Elton-Trueblood/dp/0060686324/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1287278462&sr=8-2 entire book] devoted to this subject. There are various examples, especially when Jesus debates the Pharisees, where he often mocks them using humor. Just one example is Matthew 7:3-5.
