A consumer that eats producers exclusively.[1] This translates into an animal that eats primarily plants and vegetation.
Biblical creation account states that God created animals were originally as herbivores. It is believed that carnivorous behavior began after God cursed the world due to the original sin.
Sheep, deer[2] and cows[3] are now known to actively seek out and eat small animals. Zoologists are now considering that there may be a case for having them reclassified as omnivores.
