Robert Clark Seger, better known as Bob Seger (b. May 6, 1945) is a popular American rock musician, singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist. Seger started as a locally popular Detroit-area artist and performed and recorded under the name "Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System" during the 1960s. Seger then relocated to Detroit and formed "The Silver Bullet Band" in 1973. He has cowritten and performed many hits. He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Seger has had a career spanning five decades and still currently performs.
