A supercar is a very high performance automobile that also has a very high price. Most supercars are imports from Italy or sometimes Germany, but the US has made a few, most notably the Ford GT and the Dodge Viper. Supercars are almost always over priced, though some have outstanding performance and are usually purchased as status symbols by people.
