Blue state refers to states in the USA where a majority votes for Democrats in Presidential elections. They generally have liberal views on taxation, regulation of business, human rights, homosexual rights, abortion, and crime, are known for their dependence on federal aid and are not considered part of the real America.
They are generally located in the northeast and on the west coast of the United States.
