Tim Walberg was the Republican congressman from Michigan's 7th congressional district from 2007 to 2009. He was narrowly defeated by Democrat Mark Schauer (49-46%) as part of the Democratic sweep in 2008, but was elected in a rematch during the 2010 Republican tidal wave.
