*In 1911, [[Turkey]] imposed gun control and then, from 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million defenseless Armenians were killed.

*(1915-18) The[[Ottoman Empire]] imposed gun control in 1911, and then, from 1915 to 1918, killed 2.75 million out of 5.5 million Ottoman Christians, including 1.5 million out of 2 million Armenians, 750,000 out of 1 million Assyrian Christians, and 500,000 out of 2.5 million Pontic Greeks.  

*In 1929, the [[Soviet Union]] imposed gun control and over the next 24 years about 20 million defenseless dissidents were killed.

*(1917-1953) The Soviet Union under Lenin and Stalin killed 61 million of its own citizens, with 10 million going to Vladimir Lenin, who conducted his murders from 1917 to 1924, and 51 million going to Iosif Stalin, including 8 million out of 24 million Ukrainians that perished in the 1932-33 [[Holodomor]].

Second, they exempted members of the Sturmabteilung (SA) and many Nazi party officials from the law's strictures."<ref name="Washington University Law Quarterly"/> The German Firearms Act of 1937 stated "No civilian is to have a firearm without a permit and permits shall not be issued to persons suspected of acting against the state. ''For Jews, this permission will not be granted.''
