It is a matter of historical record that the Russians has brittle governance: The Russian Revolution of 1905, The Russian Revolution of 1905, The October Revolution of 1917, The October Revolution of 1917 and the 1993 Russian constitutional crisis. On top of this, there was recently Prigozhin’s Armed Rebellion. Authoritarian regimes are "strong but brittle" as one historian put it. Even the Russians themselves know this. Next, all the material resources in the world are insufficient if you are not tapping them due to incompetence/corruption in government and social dysfunction (Russia is commonly ranked #1 or #2 in divorce statistics and it ranks #2 in alcoholism). Deny that the USA's national GNP, per capita GNP and productivity rate is not head and shoulders above Russia and lose all credibility. There is a reason why people are flocking to the USA and leaving Russia. There are 30 million people who are part of the Russian diaspora.
