The Tea Party Express is the most politically successful group within the Tea Party Movement. Originating with projects in Nevada, the Tea Party Express charted a bus trip that began at liberal Senator Harry Reid's hometown in Nevada and ended in Washington, D.C.. They are an organization of Our Country Deserves Better PAC.
The Tea Party Express is credited with helping achieve three of biggest primary political upsets in recent memory:
- nominating Sharron Angle
- nominating Ken Buck
- nominating Joe Miller
The Tea Party Express also supported Christine O'Donnell in her bid to upset Mike Castle for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate from Delaware. Unfortunately, the politicians they strongly supported were defeated in the 2010 Midterm Elections.
