Assassination is the act of killing a high ranking politician or an otherwise important figure, for the purpose of advancing an agenda. Assassinations are usually politically motivated, compared to murder, although many assassins suffered from some sort of mental imbalance. Revenge, monetary gain, and military operations may also be reasons for assassination.
