Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, as well as the focal point of trade, industry, and politics for most of Vietnam's last 1,000 years.
Like many cities in East Asia, Hanoi is a melange of a 3,000 year old culture with a bustling modern city. Ancient art, architecture, and religious works can be seen throughout the city along side modern coffee cafes, internet hubs, and sports complexes.
