Remington Arms is an American manufacturing company which designs, produces, and sells firearms and ammunition, primarily for sports.
History
In 1816 Eliphalet Remington II set out to design a better gun than the ones which were for sale at the time. When his hand-made flintlock proved to be a success, he kept going. People began ordering them from him, until in 1828 when he moved main operations to Ilion, New York. The company continued to grow from that time until this day.[1]
