Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 – Oct. 10, 1985) was a prolific American 20th century movie director, writer and actor. He is best known for his film Citizen Kane and a radio production of H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds that reportedly caused panic among people who thought a Martian invasion was really happening. His final role was in 1986's Transformers: The Movie, where he voiced Unicron. Due to his poor health, sound effects were used to enhance his voice.
