Olavo de Carvalho is a conservative philosopher from Brazil. He is a strong opponent of communism,[1] along with globalism and cultural Marxism.
An influential figure in Brazilian politics, Carvalho helped provide the philosophical basis for Jair Bolsonaro's views and thus played a large role in his successful 2018 presidential campaign.[2][3] He successfully recommended that Bolsonaro appoint Ernesto Araújo as Brazil's foreign minister.[4]
