::::The arc of history is tending against those who opposed desegregation (desegregation, not busing). It's the Dems themselves that have made the issues synonymous this past week. We don't want to, and shouldn't re-litigate busing. It's a dead issue, historically and politically. But I'm not prepared to have Joseph Robinette Biden be my spokesman and hero for my own opposition to busing in the 1970s. As a historical fact, HE is the one who ended it. I believe we have enough evidence to show him, and his ilk, as an opportunist, racist, and slanderer, for dumping his own racism (like the Clinton's did and others) on Republicans. I'm loaded for bear.
