Ayrshire is a county centred around the former county town of Ayr.

No one knows the origins of this ritual greeting formula which, alongside the Auld Lang Syne and the Selkirk Grace has become familiar throughout the English-speaking world. It is believed it may have something to do with swine rustling, which was common in Scotland in the middle ages.
