Mars is the name of a chocolate bar sold by the Galaxy corporation. It is usually called "A Mars Bar".
Mars Bars were known in antiquities; the Romans even named one of their gods after them — Mars, the god of war — The Romans also knew about Jupiter and Saturn, but it was not until the 17th century that William Herschel discovered Uranus, and Neptune and Pluto took even longer.
Mars has two moons: Phobos and Deimos (which respectively mean "Fear and "Panic" in Greek). Russian scientists in the 1950s posited that Phobos might be hollow, but these claims were discredited in the late 1960s.
Recent satellite imagery has shown that Mars has a 3 kilometer deep ice cap around its southern polar region.
