[[U.S. President]] [[Donald Trump]] has endorsed Rispone in the general election with Edwards. In a pre-primary rally in [[Lake Charles]], Trump urged Louisiana's Republican voters to come to the polls on October 12 and vote for either Abraham or Rispone. Abraham right after the results were released pledged his support to Rispone as well.
