McConaughey would have strong competition from the [[liberal]] with the phony [[Hispanic]] nickname, [[Beto O'Rourke]], who reportedly will run.  O'Rourke feels he is "born to run" for public office and has already run unsuccessfully for the [[U.S. Senate]] (unable, in a year when the Democrats took over the House and made gains in the Senate, to unseat [[Ted Cruz]] who has a high unpopularity level) and even the president of the [[United States]].
