Steve Turley's commentary on the 2022 midterm elections
Steve Turley, who expected a red wave in the 2022 midterm elections, produced some post-2022 midterm elections videos which I think are pretty good.
*Something BIG Is Happening - The topic of political balkanization is discussed (Red states are getting redder and blue states are getting bluer). Political balkanization will hurt Democrats because 8 of the top 10 states people are leaving are Democrat-controlled states so if this trend continues Democrats will lose seats in the House of Representatives (see: 10 States People Are Fleeing And 10 States People Are Moving To). And most of the people leaving blue states are leaving the politics of their past state behind them (see: 10 States People Are Fleeing And 10 States People Are Moving To). For example, GOP leaning people are leaving big population states like California and New York.
*Republicans FLIP Five More Seats for Net Gain of 16
*Republicans WIN More SUPERMAJORITIES Than EVER - About 50% of the USA now has veto-proof state legislators whereas Democrats merely have 14 states with veto-proof majorities. Voter turnout among inflation and crime victims? increased turnout among disgruntled Hispanics and other minorities who traditionally voted Democrat? Wade has never been an issue in the U.S. Congress, either before repeal or after - despite a half century of propaganda and billions spent on political advertising. I don't think de-Nazisifiction is the big reason why Putin went into Ukraine. Ukraine has had a Nazi problem for some time. :::Putin went into Ukraine on February 24 because the NATO trained army had amassed 120,000 troops - half the Ukraine army at that time - along essentially what is the front line of contact right now. And that army, with NATO-backing, tanks and artillery, was set to begin rolling over civilians on March 8, who were defending themselves with a 40,000 man militia.
::::So while American media was echoing Biden DNI Avril Haines day-after-day since November 2021, screaming "Putin has amassed 120,000 troops on Ukraine's border!", it ignored Russian media and Putin saying "Ukraine has amassed 120,000 troops along the Donbas!" Societies change slowly. A society can't "try" democracy, it has to fully commit to it and thoroughly educate its population. Conquered Germany and Japan were literally forced to practice democracy after WWII which is an irony of history. The USA was enough of a benevolent occupier of Germany and Japan that democracy took root. For example, Douglas MacArthur helped "the Japanese to recover from the aftermath of the war—poverty, starvation and despair." Conservative (talk) 06:15, November 16, 2022 (EST)
:As Vladimir Pozner said, why didn't America offer Russia a Marshall Plan after 1991? They did the fascist countries, but not Russia. Instead, they sent in all the globalist looters. ::So let's ask: Why are Ukrainian schoolchildren taught to give the Nazi salute (by extension - "taught to hate")?
::Answer: Cause since 1945, the Soviet Union came down hard on people who gave the Nazi salute, displayed Nazi insignia, or shared Nazi ideas. Likewise in Germany and much of all Central and Western Europe laws were passed against open displayal of Nazi symbols, Holocaust denial, etc. In the United States, we adopted "hate speech" laws since the 1970s. In Ukraine, the anti-extremist laws and enforcement remained in place after 1991. However, unlike Germany, the Nazi party was not outlawed, and various Nazi groups were elected to Parliament in the name of "democracy", albeit a minority.
::In the years before the Maidan coup, the United States began emboldening these groups, and the "Russian-backed" government's secret police, the Bercut, became overwhelmed and could no longer deal with number of extremists (in the old days, the Bercut would just kidnap them, beat them up, and blacklist them from employment, kinda like the KGB did for many years.} The U.S. money pumped into Ukraine offered these blacklisted extremists income and employment, if they'd just do Western globalists dirty work and help overthrow the "Russia-backed regime".
::So that's what you have today, a bunch of Russia haters who proudly wear the swastika, kinda like waving a red flag before a bull, whereas the whole Russian civilization of 130 ethnic groups have for centuries lived by the words, "we must love each other, or we must die." :::Cleft countries, like Ukraine, are powderkegs. Trump handled the Russia/Ukrainian situation well. Biden/Harris did not. That's the sad truth of the situation. Conservative (talk) 06:21, November 16, 2022 (EST)
::::That's just it - the cleft country of Ukraine is an artificial creation. And the borders now will be redrawn. RobSGive Peace a chance 06:22, November 16, 2022 (EST)
::::And no, Trump did not handle it well - he was impeached over it. And he was accused of being a Russian stooge from day one, which destroyed his ability to govern. RobSGive Peace a chance 06:24, November 16, 2022 (EST)
The Democrats are an unreasonable lot who wanted to impeach at the drop of a hat. The whole Biden/Ukraine/bribery issue should have been investigated. "...to search out a matter is the glory of kings." - Proverbs 25:2. I realize that Trump was not a king, but he was head of state and the executive branch should investigate wrongdoing at the federal level.
Sometimes it takes time to resolve matters. It does look like there is a recession coming and Biden is very unpopular. A Republican president will likely be elected in 2024.
Anyways, I am going to bow out of the conversation. I want to take care of some things before the beginning of the day. Conservative (talk) 06:36, November 16, 2022 (EST)
:OMG, "A Republican president will likely be elected in 2024." Please please please, don't start that again. History is organic, let it play out. Even be part of it. But give up this gypsie fortune telling crap, please. RobSGive Peace a chance 13:57, November 16, 2022 (EST)
