Neturi Karta (Aramaic: נטורי קרתא; lit. guards of the gate) is a small radical [1] anti-Zionist alliance of a fraction of Orthodox anti-Zionist religious groups in Jerusalem. They are devout Jews who above all they fear that the ancient identity of the Jews as a 'chosen people' would be substituted by an Israeli national identity; they believe that the establishment of a Jewish state is contrary to the teachings of the Torah.
They support the destruction of Israel on the basis that only God can set up the Israeli state, through the Messiah. The members of Neturi Karta publicly support Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for Israel to be "wiped off the map". They also back his claim that the Zionist Jews exploit the Holocaust.[2] Some of them cheered for Palestinian suicide bombers. They burn Israeli flags on a regular basis. In April 2007, one of their synagogues in New York City was burned. They claim it was a terrorist attack and a hate crime, but officials suspect it was accidental.[3] In March 2007, one of their Rabbis was beaten in Poland by two Polish Jews.[4]

Theodor Herzl and almost all Zionists leaders were not religious. Though anti-Zionism globally is almost all about anti-Jews as MLK said, a very tiny fraction is not. Such as a part of Haredi (very ultra Orthodox) In short, the Haredi anti-Zionist camp bases it's objection on a Talmud theme which is not to grab the land by yourself but await the Messiah. That is the first logical part. But there is a larger and also an emotional component to that. To understand that a bit, one needs to know about the assassination of Rabbi Jacob Israël de Haan in 1924 who --on behalf of main Haredi rabbi -- R. Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld -- sought peace negotiations with the Arabs. Assassinated by secular zionists.- Most Haredim are non-Zionists.
- Most are not aligned with the settlers.
- Most Haredim refuse to serve in the IDF for various ideological reasons.
- But most are not 'anti.'
