Cheerleading is a sport in which performers cheer on sports teams at games or compete in cheerleading competitions. Participants in cheerleading are known as cheerleaders. A popular implement for gaining cheer is the pom-pom. Hollywood liberals often depict cheerleaders as being mean bullies in movies whereas most real cheerleaders are nice girls.

Expression of faith and conflict with the left
Cheerleaders, including those in public schools, have on many occasion boldly expressed their faith and conservative values, sometimes individually, sometimes as an entire unit. For example, cheerleaders at Kountze High School in Texas faced persecution by the ACLU and other liberals for quoting Bible verses on banners intended to raise school spirit.[2] Members of all three public high schools in Charlotte County, Florida (along with the football team at Port Charlotte High School, which was specifically attacked by Freedom From Religion Foundation)[3] and Ponte Vedra High School (also in Florida)[4] have engaged in similar expression. It should be noted that Ponte Vedra High School is Tim Tebow's alma mater, and the team in question has scored number one in the Florida High School Athletic Association's state wide competitive cheer championship three times. It is likely for these reasons that administrators (who are active on the site to this day) at the liberal atheist RationalWiki have previously expressed a desire for all cheerleaders to die.[5]
Examples of indecency in cheerleading
In 2007, varsity cheerleaders at a California high school were suspended from school for lifting their skirts to show "Indians #1" spelled out on their undergarments.[6] This is always a symptom of liberalism, in that liberals promote promiscuity, and when liberals infiltrate a group of young girls (especially if adult coaches are liberals) they try to corrupt them. It is important to note, however, that some cheerleading squads have made good-faith efforts to reduce indecency or never performed in indecent ways in the first place. For example, cheerleaders at Pensacola Christian College and Liberty University display much less skin than many cheerleaders at secular universities, with PCC's cheerleading uniforms coming down to the cheerleaders' knees in accordance with the institution's standard dress code.[7] Many Christian schools have cheerleading squads that would not promote liberal ideas.
