'''The Simpsons''' is a satirical animated comedy series created by Matt Groening. The Simpsons started on the [[The Tracey Ullman]] show in 1987. In December 1989 the show debuted on the [[Fox Network]]. The show is currently being made into a feature length movie to be released on July 27th 2007.

Family:
The show revolves around the fictional Simpsons family. Homer is the father who is often portayed as a buffon. Marge is the father who in many respects is a classical American mother.
Marge stays at home while Homer works and takes care of the family. On a few occasions Marge has gotten a job which was met with horrible results.
Bart, the son, is a troublemaker and makes a horrible role model. Lisa is the older daughter who is an atheist liberal. Her appearances on the show often perpetuate many liberal myths.
