This article is complete nonsense, and it's author has apparently never got passed the cover of a book on irish history.

Micheal Collins wasn't the leader of any party/movement before the events that lead to the civil war
Ireland did not become a republic until 1949 when the Republic of Ireland Act became law.
All the leaders of the rising were not executed






Also, an Irish Republic wasn't delared on 1919. It might be worth either copy/pasting this entry from Wikipedia, or just deleting it, until someone who actually knows what they're talking about comes along lil_cain 03.58 10 March 2007 (GMT)
