Today, it continues to enslave over two billion human beings in the countries of the third-world, using them as means of production for the wealthy. Placing economic development and the accumulation of capital as its fundamental law, therefore unable to consider any moral or ecologic value, it is at the source of many wars and is can be held as largely responsible for the dangers that humanity and the ecosystem of Earth face relatively to global warming.
