J. K. Rowling criticizes witch-hunting mentioning that witches used to enjoy being burnt up so much they used to let themselves get caught many times. She ridicules humans by calling them muggles and mud-bloods in her novels. She keeps on mentioning how stupid they are in trying to ignore magic and her example of a human family is the Dursley's. Vernon Dursley is a very fat man, his son Dudley breath is more than his height, while his wife Petunia is described as a bony eavesdropping woman. In truth like a true christian family when they find out that Harry Potter uses magic and can talk to snakes they try to take the ability out him and try to protect him from company of witches and wizards. In every book they are ridiculed and talked down by witches and wizards making it a standard joke in the books.
