The World Trade Organization (WTO) establishes rules and resolves disputes in international trade among its member nations. Founded in 1995, the WTO is the sucessor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). Currently there are 151 nations that belong to the WTO. Its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland. The latest to join was Vietnam on January 11, 2007.
