A Sikh is a follower of Sikhism, which is a monotheistic religion. The way of this religion is two fold. First, its followers attempt to gain salvation through meditation on their god and his teachings. Second, Sikhs follow the teachings of the Ten Gurus and their holy scriptures. The largest Sikh population lives in the Punjab region, which is on the borders of India and Pakistan, but there are also various other, smaller, Sikh communities around the world.
