Evidence of evolution comes in many shapes and forms, from empirical evidence from the past such as fossils to more recent DNA technology and other biochemical methods, which have provided molecular evidence for common descent. Other lines of evidence come from geographical distribution, comparative anatomy, computer simulation, and direct cases of evolution and speciation occurring at present, such as antibiotic resistance. Even so, many people still object to the theory of evolution.
