All-Star Game (Baseball), also known as the "Midsummer Classic," is an annual baseball game between players from the Major League Baseball, National League and the American League.
The first Major League All-Star Game was played on July 6, 1933 at Comiskey Park in Chicago.
The 2007 All-Star Game was held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA. The American League won the seventy-eighth midsummer classic by a score of 5 to 4. Going in to the game, the National League had not won the Midsummer Classic in the last eleven meetings.
The American League team was led by manager Jim Leyland and coaches Ron Gardenhire and Ron Washington.
The National League team was led by manager Tony LaRussa and coaches Bruce Bochy and Willie Randolph. [1]
Stan Musial holds the All-Star record for most games as a pinch hitter with ten games and ten pinch-hit at-bats.
