Jeb Eddy is an anti-Bush protester from California noted by the media for his "I'm a Republican and ASHAMED of this GOP!" sign.[1] He became an overnight sensation on liberal websites such as Daily Kos and Democratic Underground. However, his claim of being a registered Republican came under doubt when Conservative Underground forum member "Crockspot" uncovered Eddy's ties and donations to the Democratic Party. Going as far back as 1998, well before President Bush took office, Eddy and his wife were found to have consistently donated to the Democratic National Committee and John Kerry.[2] This story exploded when it was picked up by Wizbang! and other conservative blogs and bloggers.[1]
