Fox News was started in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch in response to the other cable news channels which he believed to all have liberal biases.  Fox News claims to be "Fair & Balanced"<ref>Fair & Balanced[http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,27906,00.html]</ref> a claim which it backs up by having shows like [[Hannity & Colmes]].  Fox News characterizes itself as reporting the news in an unbiased manner and then allowing the viewer to decide. <ref>We Report.  You Decide.[http://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxiu1.jpg]</ref>.  However, some liberals claim that Hannity and Colmes is still biased toward the right.  Sean Hannity joined Fox News when the network started and personally nominated Alan Colmes as his debate opponent.  Colmes, a liberal-moderate entirely off the screen of liberal politics, does not receive the same treatment that Hannity receives from the station (Hannity is often brought on during the daily news, while Colmes is not).  In fact, the working title was "Hannity and Liberal to be Determined".<ref>http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1067</ref>  Liberals tend to cite Hannity's "superiority" over Colmes in the show as proof of bias, but to many this seems silly.

Bush or the Iraq War{{fact}}. Fox News prides itself on reporting on "good news" from Iraq, such as new schools being built and new roads being built and for reporting the suicide bombings in context of the broader war on terrorism and the religion they represent. Fox News was the first and only US cable news company to use the term "homicide bombing" to describe attacks by Arabs and Palestinians on Israelis.
