Fertility is a term used to describe something which is fertile and has the ability to grow or reproduce.
Human Fertility is more commonly associated with women but relates with men as well. The reproduction ability of humans has factors extending to nutrition, sexual behavior, culture, instinct, endocrinology, timing, economics, way of life, and emotions.
Fertility in religions
One good example of the role fertility played in religion is the Israelites' use of pagan gods such as golden calves to bring fertility to the lands and their women. In most of Mesopotamia fertile land was essential to one's well-being and survival, so most pagan gods were devoted to fertility and growth.
