An Intron is a non-coding sequence of DNA that is initially copied into RNA but is cut out of the final RNA transcript. Introns have been an emerging, but instrumental argument on behalf of Intelligent Design. There is still no clear understanding why introns are copied into RNA but then removed from the final product that can by explained by evolution.
