Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a symmetric-key block cipher algorithm adopted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as an encryption standard. It is the successor of the Data Encryption Standard (DES). It supports key sizes of up to 192 bytes. It is considered quite secure but is vunerable to cipher-text analysis and differential cryptoanalysis.
