Houston is the largest city in the state of Texas and the fourth largest city in the United States of America. Houston is the county seat of Harris county, with a population of approximately 1.9 million. Houston is fondly referred to by many as the "Bayou City".
Houston is known for its thriving energy industry and the largest medical center in the country, as well as the second largest performing arts district in the nation.
